Tom Corbett rode historically low approval ratings to become the first sitting Pennsylvania governor to lose re-election; Lackawanna County’s own Kathleen Kane proved she’s in over her head as the state’s first female attorney-general; Scranton Mayor Bill Courtright tried and failed to tax Scranton’s commuters to pay for his union buddies’ mismanaged pension funds, and state police set out on a weeks-long manhunt to find a killer of one of their own.
